Cha Chaan Teng 茶 餐 廳
A Note
This website project is supported by the TDLEG grant* from City University of Hong Kong for CAH 2614 "Methods for Studying Humanities," a college foundation year course led by Dr. Dewei SHEN as the course leader and PI.
The construction of this website represents an effort to explore innovative ways of assisting Year-1 students in navigating new toolkits for conducting humanities research and presenting their outstanding work digitally. The content featured on the website is derived from the final paper written by Cheng Yu Chun, a CityU student from the Department of Chinese and History, who took this course in 2022/2023. As part of his semester project, Mr. Cheng Yu Chun, like his classmates, was introduced to various digital methods and experimented with 3D scanning technology for the first time. The completed (experimental) 3D images can be accessed on different pages of this website:

It is hoped that this website can serve as both a convenient means to showcase the outcome of Mr. Cheng Yu Chun's coursework on Cha Chaan Teng and a vivid example to inspire future students with new possibilities for researching humanities topics.
